I can%92t believe, after all the humbugging and Christmas decorations at Halloween, that it%92s almost here. It feels like I%92ve been working around the clock between my day job and hours in the workshop every night, but I%92ve almost got my Christmas orders done, and with any luck I%92ll have more than 2 minutes to sit back and relax before the big night! Hopefully the pieces I%92ve been working on will bring joy to their new owners. What pleases me the most is that the last three substantial pieces have been custom orders that have been personal gifts, each one for the person making the order. It%92s such a pleasure to see people remembering to do something nice for themselves at this time of year. I know that the joy is in the giving, but hey, why not give something to yourself too? We all work hard every day and make sacrifices, and forget to be good to ourselves. So, as long as there is a minute left over, I think maybe I%92ll make myself something special too. If I can stay awake long enough. Peace.

How perfect that on the first day of December, the air is crisp and the snow is falling? I can say that, because for today, I don%92t have to drive in it, I can just watch it from my workshop window and appreciate the beauty of it all. If I had a fireplace it would be even better, but for now, the light of my torch will have to do. Hope everyone is having a great first day of December, and staying safe and warm!
